Welcome to Sunny Daze Design Pottery and Crochet Studio!
Sunny Daze Design is located in beautiful Squamish, British Columbia. We are a small hobby studio. Starting in October 2010 once our new studio is built and in operation, we will be offering pottery and crochet classes along with a bi-weekly Stitch ‘n Bitch evening for both knitters and crocheters.
Our pottery classes will mainly focus on hand-building techniques as well as one-on-one throwing (wheel) classes. Due to space and safety our hand-building classes with be for 2 – 4 students at a time and our wheel classes will be 1 on 1 instruction. Classes will include all materials, glazes and kiln firing as well as any additional studio time to finish up any projects.
Our crochet classes can hold 6 – 10 students at a time. We will be offering beginner and intermediate classes as well as project specific classes like jewellery, amigurumi (toys), hats, raglan crochet (top down sweaters) and more!
Our biweekly Stitch ‘n Bitch evenings are a great opportunity to meet people within the Squamish community who share the same passion for yarn! Stitch ‘n Bitch sessions are free and for anyone at any level. It is an opportunity to share projects you are working on and to gain advice and support for any projects you may be struggling with but most importantly to hang out with some cool people and have fun!
Keep your eye on our Calendar of Events for additional project-based classes throughout the year such as bird houses, pitchers and tea pots as well as snowflakes, socks and yarn recycling projects using old t-shirts, jeans and plastic bags just to name a few.
For a list of pottery and crochet courses as well as the dates for upcoming classes and Stitch ‘n Bitch sessions, refer to both the class outlines and the Calendar of Events.
We are really looking forward to being more involved in the arts and crafts community in Squamish, BC! See you soon!
